Learn how to craft your own hand-bound hardcover journal using discarded books. This workshop will introduce you to the tools of the trade, materials, and techniques to deconstruct a book and repurpose it into a new journal, using the Coptic stitch to bind the book.

Perfect for beginners or those looking to practice and brush up on their Coptic binding skills, everyone will leave with a finished project.


Carolyn Eady of Sprouts Press is a bookbinder, printmaker, papermaker, drawer, and painter. Carolyn has a Bachelor of Fine Art from OCAD in Toronto and an Advanced Studies Certificate from studying art abroad In Florence, Italy.
