ONLINE: Miniature book ornaments with Arielle VanderSchans

Explore the world of miniature book making! This workshop will walk you through the steps to make a case-bound book that is only 2 inches tall.

This little book is a great starting place if you’ve never made a book before. Participants will be able to turn their miniature book into an ornament for the holiday season.

A text block for “The Night Before Christmas” will be sent to participants to use for the class.

Arielle VanderSchans has studied bookbinding under Dan Mezza since 2016 and got her Certificate of Completion from CBBAG in 2019. Arielle teaches History of the Book & Book Preservation Basics at the University of Western Ontario. She’s active in the Southwestern Ontario Chapter and on the national board. You can find her online at ariellesbindery.com and on Instagram: @ariellesbindery
